The Owl, perched atop a black sword. Starry night sky glowing behind.
//The Daughter of Swords pierces through illusion. The owl sees through the game of fear and the strong sense of false identification of self. The daughter of swords can see through illusion and rests in being. If we are identifying ourselves with fear, we willingly give our power to an invisible ghost. Fears that arise within are internal responses that are created by the false self appearing real. These fears that have been nurtured and protected gain strength each time we bow down to their force. We have to ask ourself if we giving our power to fear? Or, are we remaining as the truth of who we are and allowing ourself to move through the arising fear? When we release our control on “how we think things should be,” fear falls away more easily as the light of our being shines through. Daughter of Swords reminds us that we cannot protect what is false, because it is not in accordance to the natural unfolding of life. We are pure spirit and we feel this more prominently when we align with the universe to move through us naturally. The owl is perched on the sword of truth. When this sword is felt in its utter simplicity it cuts through all imagined stories and beliefs//
//Although the Owl is perched on top of the sword she is not the protector of it. She simply rests in this space and moves with grace. Daughter of Swords recognizes when pain comes, it is a gift, inviting us to look where the pain is coming from and to feel into this depth fully. Sitting in the silence of our own being we can allow all pain to arise and every other emotion that is asking to be seen. As we give ourself honest space to feel, we are automatically addressing anything within that wishes for recognition. This allows immense healing to take place, as nothing is being ignored or denied. Daughter of Swords is a reminder to look within and not ignore the natural signals of the emotional, mental, physical, or energetic bodies. All of these aspects are working for us to guide us. As we honor ourself and take the time to be with what is arising we are continuously creating a safe and receptive space within ourself to deepen our relationship and connection within. We are not meant to ignore painful experiences when they arise. The more attuned we are to our own being the more intimately we will know as something arises which needs attention. Whatever is experienced, it is seen that these are old phantoms leaving the body, ready to go as recognition takes place. There is a great allowance for darkness to arise when we see it is simply energy arising and give it permission to be and transform. The play of light and dark are working in harmony to discover new depth within our being. This contrast is essential to being alive, the longer we are here the more gratitude arises for the divine play. If we only had pleasant experiences we would have no depth to our character. It is when we begin condemning what is happening in our experience that we feel tremendous constriction and pain. When we remember the play of dark and light are both working to stretch us and allow us to discover, we ebb and flow with greater ease//
//This card is the embodiment of authenticity. The stream of life is asking you to surrender to the highest. This is a natural movement of Grace. The Daughter of Swords asks, “Are you embodying truth, or are you shying away from your natural movements? Life is here to experience the divinity that we are, which means stepping into our highest roles that we all intuitively know and feel within. We do know which way to move and navigate, but are we listening? This divinity encompasses all beings that are here, but it can be scary because many times we realize we have been siding with that which cripples us more than truth of our being. In each moment with each interaction with self, another, at work, walking down the street, in the car, nature, and anywhere we are ~ we are consistently given the opportunity to be in our heart or shy away. There are a multitude of ways which we hide and which we show up for life. Daughter of Swords asks how are you showing up everyday in life, for yourself and all those who you encounter? “
