The Hanged Man, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot the hanged man meaning and interpretation

The Hanged Man depicts a bat hanging from a branch. He wrapped himself within his wings and peers directly at the card reader with red, gleaming eyes….uhhh kinda creepy right? Something mysterious…a secret perhaps? Something is being held within, being protected instead of let go. Bats swooping into our lives indicate death of egocentric aspects of self, major transitions, sensitivity to seeing the unseen, and releasing major burdens that have been carried for ages. The bat hangs in the dark, however, this darkness fades into the light. As we move beyond limitation and darkness we expand into the greatness we already are. Our light was simply covered up by imagined illusion.

The Hanged Man can represent your own suspension in life. What are you “hanging” onto that is in the dark? What aspects of you are being perceived now that are ready to be let go of and take flight? This is how the bat flies, he must let go of the branch in order to gain momentum and fly. He cannot fly from pushing off the ground. This card might be about your darkness or perhaps someone close to you carrying a burden. The extremely heightened sensitivity a bat carries is the same as your own highly sensitive nature. You are sensitive within yourself and all of life because of your natural introspective nature. You feel life with invisible feelers, so a little whacky to some, but very normal for you. Whether or not this darkness is yours or someone close to you it is something that needs to be brought to the surface. This is an ancient wound that is present and this is a pivitol moment for change. You may either ignore and let it fester, providing a swamp-like and unenergized environment….or this old burden can be faced. Because of your sensitivity, if this imbalance is in you it will be released during this period. You can smell the putrid air of this and it must go. If this is regarding another being in your life, your sensitivity will be a catalyst assisting this damaging force to exit the body. Sometimes it can be our extreme sensitivity and seeing the unseen which gives permission to others to face what has been put off. The more aspects of darkness we have faced in ourselves the greater space we become to hold space as others go through hardship. It is a fire within that burns all delusion because it is seen as illusory. You see the most subtle darkness or hesitations within yourself, which in turn helps you see this in others and gives space for life to reveal the light that is already present.

Do not protect your fears or those of anyone else. When we protect our fears we are giving them more fuel to survive.  This is a dishonest way to live with oneself and highly self destructive. However, there will always be times when we don’t realize we are protecting something that is harming us. Thankfully, the bat is the symbol of a highly intuitive and wise one. So at this time you do have the full capacity to see all you need in order to shed some old skin. All is happening organically and in the natural unfolding of life. Life is always showing us what we need to see when we remain open to the mystery. We don’t know what will be, but when we remain open…the magic is swiftly and organically a guiding light. She shows us and we move in accordance with the natural flow.  The magic is hardwired in our system. In our blood, our tears, our joy….its in everything. The magic flows organically when we remain open to the unknown.

The hanged man tells us to go into the night. To feel the night air and the secrets that seem to be hidden in the quiet times of the night. Look at the moon, gaze at the stars. How do you feel when you do this? Does it change your perspective? Do you feel a Oneness with all that is? The Hanged man asks you to shift your perspective and ask where are you putting your energy? Ask yourself this sincerely. In all aspects of your life, where are you planting seeds? Is it at a job you hate? Or is it on a creative endeavor you love? Are you spending time with friends that ignite your fire? Or are you spending time with those who doubt your every move? Do not be afraid to distance yourself from the doubters and the nay sayers. Our life shifts radically when we allow those who support and love us to be in our sphere and when we simply leave those who don’t.

May our perception be clear and bright. May all seeming difficulties turn into mighty opportunities of growth. May all beings express their creativity and light in this world.

Wheel of Fortune, The Wild Unknown Tarot

The Wild Unknown Tarot Wheel of Fortune Meaning and Interpretation

The Wheel of fortune looks quite chaotic in this scene, but if we look closer we can see that this wild web is weaved with a greater harmony. A rainbow colored stream of light is gracing all the madness perceived. Perched atop a branch is an owl peering a the card holder. She is a reminder of the awareness we are. The wise owl sits perched within the unknown realm of the dark night. The sun beams at the bottom of the card depicting the necessary aspects of light and dark we must experience.

The Owl sees and feels all of life in the mysterious night. The unknown does not frighten her.  She trusts, flying through the darkness with unwavering gratitude. The night is not something to be shunned away or frightened of. The dark of the unknown is stepping into the vastness of our inmost being. It is not only the light which we want, it is the complete acceptance of all that arises within our being. This owl is the awareness that you are, seeing everything that is occurring. She sees all which is in physical reality and also feels the subtle energies at play. This one sees and feels the dance of life from a pure and neutral space. This is our original source of seeing beyond the minds comments and feelings. The owl is a reminder to trust this one. The one that is beyond what is fleeting in this life. She says, stay here. Stay here. and when you keep seeing that which is false, those things will naturally fall to the way side because your heart is merged here, as truth.

This globe the wise one is perched on seems to be a mad mess of chaotic splendor. The owl seems to be unaffected with all that is occurring. She is simply present with what is happening. There is a feeling that the chaos is happening in some kind of perfect harmony. As if everything that is happening is necessary. Do we see this in our own life? Can we connect the dots as we look at our life and see where we are now? Can we see how the crazy ups, downs, and all arounds have only stripped us away of illusion and false identity? Can we see how all our experiences are only for the greater good leaving us with a clean spirit? Can we see how the darkness and the light play out in our lives are not higher or lower than each other but equally crucial to experience in this human form? Do we see how our authentic openness to life brings exactly what we need to evolve past our limitations? All is occurring divinely in the chaotic traffic of life. Can we see how lifes wheel of fortune is not in the things we acquire or accomplish in the physical realm, but the self that is ever present within us? This is the unchanging awareness that we all are. This is the true gold of our fortune. To discover our infinite nature that is indestructible. As we rest in this magnificent space all of life is unfolding in divine perfection. It doesn’t matter how ugly or pretty it looks on the “outside” you and only you know what you are experiencing. This is the only one that matters and this is what the Wheel of Fortune is showing you. As you stay here in truth, all is unfolding in perfection. Trust completely.

Lets be honest. Are we dipping are toes into The Wild Unknown? What does this serve? Who does this serve. This serves the limited version of who you think you are, thats it. It is not the entirety of your being. Your being is already in the water….the limitation comes in when you believe the BS your mind has to say. Yes you heard me you are already in. So those thoughts that say “You aren’t there yet, and you need to do this, this, and this first.” Not true. You are already free you just gotta start dancing. The Wheel of Fortune is revealing that as wild, crazy, painful, happy, solemn, or whatever is happening all is revealing more beauty and more love within you. So those toes that you think are dipping in? Can you see how you are already in, already here? And those toes you thought were only grazing in The Wild Unknown have already been gobbled up and swallowed whole? Here you are.

Ten of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot ten 10 of swords meaning and interpretation

Ten of Swords is about the embodiment of victimhood and the great release of it. Victimhood is a trap of the mind, which keeps us small in a very weak state of being. We do it to ourselves, nothing in this life can make us become a victim in our own life. There are subtle victimhood stages and ones that can seemingly overtake ones life. The bull depicted has hollow eyes with a sword piercing through both. Nine more swords pierce his body and he is falling into darkness. Just above him there is light emerging, which hints that just as victimhood is seen through the light breaks in revealing the game that was being played. However dark this card may appear we must go through various stages of darkness to see we must not be afraid to inquire into them. Being able to hold darkness within ones hand is far greater than avoiding it. If we fall into victimization and begin contemplating the state we are in, one can see how this pain has been an energetic self stabbing. No one else has created this but oneself. The good news with this is we can remove the swords of pain created and completely heal. Not only we come out of victimization, but we will gain immense wisdom for ourself and others at this time. This victimhood is also a blessing that is so painful we see we have no where to go and no where to escape to. It is a hard reminder, but one that can truly wake us up. Victimhood is not a path that can be recreated when we see the damage it truly causes, but we must walk through it to gain the knowledge we need on our journey. When something is actually understood on a deep level then one will not recreate the same trouble again. It is only when we do not truly understand the self created pain and believe it is coming from outside ourselves that we do not truly learn. When we see that nothing comes from outside in the way one has imagined then there is no one to blame, only to see the creation of illusion was ours. There is great freedom in this.

This card is disturbing to look at. It brings to mind the utter havoc we can wreak in our own life. The “poor me” victimhood that can be embraced when it is only the illusions of the mind believed in. Life itself is beautiful and miraculous even in its ugly and dark states. This is part of the great balance and miracle we find ourselves in. It is only our poor interpretation that causes so much trouble. Ten of Swords asks us to sincerely look at our state of being and feel if we are in our power or are we feeling self defeated. These thoughts of self defeat and victimhood are the snakes of the mind that we feed and keep us in the field of separation instead of our original state of oneness. All which we see “out there” will always be what is seen “in here.” When we truly see there is no separation of outside and inside we begin to move in our original power of wholeness. This card looks like rock bottom, but it is the beginning of no more victimization and blame on others. We see that all is arising as the Self and stop giving power to the beast of fleeting thoughts or emotions. We see through the madness and stay as we are. The wild circus becomes easier to spot and not identify with.

The death of victimhood brings about immense space in you. The allowing of spontaneous and joyous expression of you to play as a child and do what sets your heart ablaze. Victimization period is finished and it is seen as one of the most damaging plays one can create. In the divine perfection it is the perfect play for one to rise again and feel unbound and free in ones own kingdom. When the release of this painful victimhood releases and one sees through this self created hell, a freedom arises that can only laugh at its own silly game.

Daughter of Wands, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot daughter of wands meaning and interpretation

She moves with artistic grace and ease, a free spirit at her core, moving to her own music. She listens deeply to her intuition and she gives herself full permission to move in that direction with full power. She doesn’t see limitation, only creative expression that divinely expresses itself in each moment. She is not bound by past and not scared of future. She moves with a quiet confidence that knows she is always exactly where she needs to be. She trusts wherever life takes her and whatever expression that arises. She is not concerned with time, she recognizes her timelessness. She sees through the game of life and sees this as a magical opportunity to play and enjoy. She is not concerned with where her movements lead her because she is not concerned with outcome. She knows the outcome is in the simple pleasure of creating right now, in this moment. The Daughter of Wands is depicted in the shape of an infinity sign, with a blooming wand that is gently being held by her. The background she rests on is black and white, encompassing all light and dark aspects of existence. She does not long for only positive feelings and she does not resist when darkness comes her way. She allows all to play as she sees this vastness that allows her to go beyond light and dark. She is infinite.

This may be my favorite card…definitely one of them<3 This card represents everything that is living fully here and now without longing for what is not present. The serpent represents moving intuitively with the power that is our natural birthright. Daughter of Wands is certainly not caught up in living a mundane ordinary life. She carves her own way because she knows there is no other way. Her mentality is, “I either walk my own path, or I die settling for some sort of ordinary existence.” She is tapped into an unending source of creativity that seems to flow from no where. She is light hearted and sees and creates magic everywhere she goes.

This can be a time in your life where you are creating, inspired, and feel activated and alive. There is nothing that is holding you back and you can see clearly that it was only ever you that was holding yourself back from doing what you love. Now you have let go of what is not serving you, you cannot go in another direction besides as your heart naturally desires. You are now walking the path that you always felt inside you wanted, but weren’t quite ready to embark on. You see now that all that you resisted before was only fear holding you back from the wild unknown of pure heart. You are embracing this mystery and joyfully excited to wake up each day to see what happens. You feel connected to your work. It is not forced, it is emerging effortlessly as a flower blooms from a seed. You are one with your natural self, relaxed, at ease, and embracing and exploring this magical life.

If any doubt begins to arise at this time while you are in such an alive spirit, know that it is only a thought stream drifting by. Your power does not need to be leeched or deterred by one petty thought of doubt. Cast it away and know that it is not a part of your path right now. Trust fully in what emerges and don’t look back. Sometimes people can feel a dream or aspiration is just a hobby or something that shouldn’t be something they focus on full time. This isn’t true at all. Remember, you create your own limitations. If you fall into doubt you will reflect that in your physical reality. Stay as you are in authentic, natural movement which is free, unhindered, and naturally expressive. You are here to be your natural, unique expression of who you are. Fully allow this beauty.

Son of Wands, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot son of wands meaning and interpretation

Son of Wands depicts a snake wrapping itself around a wand that is standing straight and tall. Bursting from the top of the wand are lines emanating from a center point that is expanding in all directions with full power energy. Son of Wands card carries a feeling of confidence, strength, and incredible power. This card is showing a pursuit of an idea that is emerging into fruition. This card depicts that nothing will get in the way of the pursuit of this endeavor and there is juicy passion of this pursuit that is burning inside. It cannot help but bring itself into the physical realm. There is nothing to contain this energy.

This card can depict an ambitious nature that is willing to walk through any fire to fulfill the dreams burning bright within the heart. The snake is wrapped around the wand protecting this vision. Ready to strike swiftly when anyone tries to put down this dream or tries to limit the vision in any way. The snake protects this endeavor from all those who try and bring him down because he knows the vision is the same expression as his heart and it must emerge fully. His heart and the vision  cannot be separated. The Son of Wands card is a time when energy is at an all time high of authentic expression and the direction is clear. Doubts will come, but they are swiftly dropped away to continue the infinite passion that is arising.

Many misunderstand the one going through this period of focus and dedication expressing this creation into the manifest world. Many will question and test the strength and commitment to what you know you must do. These people will only strengthen your love for what is true and to continue more vibrant than ever as you keep dancing your dream.  There is such enthusiasm and drive during this time that momentum is high. The snake thinks little of consequences of such big leaps of faith. The snake doesn’t care or even think about consequences, only keeps moving forward and striking when necessary at those who wish to doubt his vision. Consequences of some hasty actions may occur as this movement is only directed at one goal leaving no room for other options. These consequences may feel painful, but will only be huge catalysts for learning and tremendous growth as they are experienced.

From the outsiders viewpoint, looking at the Son of Wands life appears confident and simultaneously reckless as he pursues his dreams. Only because the snake moves forward so swiftly and at times abruptly, he never thinks of what could go wrong. There is a trust within that no one understands except the snake himself that is moving forward. This energy is powerful and the one experiencing it will feel the effects to be overwhelming the entire being. This energy of creation must come into being. This time can also be one of life changes that are quickly rearranging everything in your life. Instead of resisting how life is rearranging itself give it full power of attention and watch how this one pointed energy allows all of life reorganize itself with tremendous ease.
