Three of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Three of Swords The Wild Unknown Tarot
Three of Swords is bitter sweet. As painful of a time as it may be, it is an honest and transparent. All wondering, guessing, intuitive inquiring-but not quite understanding….All is crystal clear now. Painfully clear, but a great relief simultaneously. The card depicts three swords pointing downwards bound together by what looks like a mangled ribbon of blood dripping at the bottom. The background is blackened and grim behind the swords and the outer expanded energy is light. The light of truth has a way of revealing itself.
***
~Words that arise are Intuition, Avoidance, Truth Emerging, Pain, Acceptance, Choice, and Healing~
 ***
Within this raw and fresh discovery there is the inner knowing that one has already known all along, perhaps not the entirety of what has been revealed, but the feeling of something rumbling under the waters has been felt and unknown until now. This arises a deeper trust in what has been felt and a stronger and clearer connection with intuitive abilities. Strength of intuitive abilities can come and go, strengthening and weakening depending on our connection to our own being. As we go through experiences in life we are able to learn to trust ourselves and intuition can become more clear and refined. What has or is presently being revealed in ones current experience pushes the querent back into the heart of being ~ showing what was felt, is now confirmed. As hard of an experience this may be, immense strength and internal power will rise from what has been experienced.
 ***
When avoidance is present in subtle or gross levels this leaves room for untruths to remain within the experience. Three of Swords is a great reminder that when something is felt intuitively there are times when it is important to inquire and acknowledge what is arising within ones own being. If we ignore the messages our body and internal systems are signaling, we are denying aspects our being that are trying to communicate. As we allow these messages to fully come through, we honor our spirit and strengthen our internal guidance system. If we avoid what is arising we can sever our own energetic cords, which in their natural state has the ability to work with us in harmony. The invitation here is to listen deeply and not fall into avoidance of what is showing itself.
 ***
As the truth of what has been felt emerges into full understanding, whether it be from oneself, another, or environment it may almost feel like, oh…of course. Because all along there was the internal knowing before the truth was revealed. Although it is no surprise on one hand, there is still pain to be felt from the experience and to be held in loving space. As we feel the pain as it comes we are allowing it to be seen and acknowledged within the being so it can be felt, healed, and not be stored as trauma~only to be brought up again later. Now is the time to be with this pain in whatever way one goes into their being for healing. Each one of us process, feel, and heal in different ways. There are infinite ways for this and not a right or wrong way. Processing has nothing to do with avoidance and there are some cases where a masking of a problem can temporarily feel like healing, but it is simply stored and will arise again. Whatever allows you to be with the presence of your own being will be healing. Sitting in meditation is a very simple way to get in touch and tune inside. Meditation is not the only way as we are infinite in the ways which we move. Allow your being to naturally be drawn to what feels most organic.
 ***
Painful experiences give us the opportunity to push us in ways that break down old cycles and ways of being. In many ways stripping away illusions and leaving us raw with no where to cling or grasp onto in the physical world. The pain has the opportunity to draw us inside, to fill our own cup, and to strengthen our trust within our self before relying on any-thing or anyone. Teaching us to live from the inside out. Being, giving, trusting, loving, from our expansion. When what we cling to crumbles, we are left inside with the power of our natural being to move, navigate, love, create, and be in harmony with existence. We become more open and raw and we do not deny any aspect of ourselves but dive in fearlessly that which wishes to be seen, felt, and heard. Sometime we may dive in with fear, but either way excited to dive in or fearful to do so, one is not ignoring what is arising but open to what wishes to be seen. When that which arises is dark it is not to be avoided and shamed, but to be seen, explored, loved, and accepted. There is no precise guide or map. With the presence of our own being we encompass the energy of the moon and the sun which does hold the aspects of shadow and the light. Our being becomes more integrated instead of staying on one side or another. There is depth in ones being with the willingness to look. The feeling “I don’t want to go there” simply because it is a heavier aspect of being will be noticed as avoidance and a deeper trust emerges to go within. The humanness and divinity of our being are making friends.

Eight of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Eight of Swords The Wild Unknown Tarot

A butterfly, tightly wrapped in itself hangs from a sword. She is surrounded by seven swords which are not touching her, but if she opens her wings would tear her to pieces. It appears there is no way of expanding. The butterfly is stuck and unable to open her wings in fear of what may happen. The energy of the card is frozen and unable to make any movement. The Butterfly cannot see as she is hidden within herself and this does not allow for even the slightest movement keeping her where she is. What is it that keeps the butterfly bound? Surely, there is a way to expand. What is keeping her from finding a way? Her sight is showing to be completely blinded keeping her immobile and fragile.

The Eight of Swords is inviting one to look at the current experience from a different angle, because the current way of seeing isn’t making any progress. Any feeling of being the victim of experience is what will keep one bound not allowing movement within the being or the mind to see other possible solutions for current experience. There cannot be any healthy movement when the belief of victimhood is at play. We remain blinded to the possibility of numerous options for ourselves. If there is a feeling of being stuck there is surely a victim role playing that is inhibiting one from seeing clearly and choosing a healthy option from the infinite options that are always available. It is only when we have created self imposed limitation that we feel as though there is no way out. Before taking any action we most remove our blindfold that keeps us small and limited so we can take right action and not action based on our perceived limitations.

There is a powerlessness present with the Eight of Swords. No where to move, no where to go. This is an illusion that has created a self imposed prison. There is no savior that can come from the outside to carve the way for us. This is a time acknowledge illusions and see how they have been at play. When these are seen one can step back into their own power and activate once again right choice and action from a healthy space. We always have choices and we always have options. When we feel stuck we have given up our power to an outside source. This is a time pay attention and to not ignore what is going on. Time to step into oneself acknowledging what has been ignored, neglected, or murdered certain aspects of self and regain strength once again. This will open up what has been a closed box and bring the breath of life, choice, right action, and vibrancy into being. It is a powerful time because coming out of this one will see they can never give up their power in this way again. As negative as this card feels it is truly a powerful time of immense transformation and growth when seeing through the veils of self imposed illusion.

As one becomes honest and transparent with what the current experience, this will open many doors. When we truly want to see our experience for what it is we will be able to see how our actions gave birth to our present moment experience. We are constantly saying yes and no to life which is opening doors and closing others. What is it that you would like to say yes and no to within your experience? Sometimes we can allow things into our life that isn’t healthy for our well being. When this happens this is how we learn to say no instead of yes. We are constantly learning, growing, and changing what we will allow into our lives as we mature. The Eight of Swords is saying be honest with yourself and allow what is healthy for you to be of high value. If you are being faced with a choice or a new transition in life allow what you value to be held highly so you do not entrap yourself in situations or experiences that are out of alignment with your values. There are no closed doors here even if it may seem that way. This is simply a time for realigning your values, honoring them and not settling for anything less. Allow your actions and movements to be honored by what you value most highly, and do not allow yourself to be swayed by those who oppose you. As ones heart is sincere and always open to learning and growing there will be others who do not agree with you. Let those who do not value what you value fall away and allow life to bring those that are in alignment with you to be by your side. At the end of each day if we feel we are making choices with honor and respecting ourselves and all of life as a whole, we cannot go wrong. Now is the time for a deep checking in and profound honesty with oneself.

Nine of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Nine of Swords The Wild Unknown Tarot

Nine of Swords is a card that brings up the question, “Is what is happening as bad as it feels, or am I contributing to the unrest, dis-ease, and anxiety, which is felt within? Is it really so bad?” Look honestly to see if what you think is causing you pain, or if the actual experience that you are presently in is no longer good for you. Making this distinction will clear up a lot of unnecessary pain. What is a real concern and what is a figment of the imagination? The Nine of Swords is indicating there is some great confusion that is unsure of what is imagination and what is really happening.

Nine of Swords addresses if any fears or expectations are being held on to which are disturbing the present moment beauty of all that is in front of you? Are you grateful for what you have, or always wanting more? As we investigate this sometimes we can see that perhaps we are putting too much pressure on ourselves and on life. Trying to make something one way instead of seeing the intrinsic beauty of how it is. As we create expectations on life we put major stress on ourself and life around us that creates a block for life to move naturally, and instead to force it in the way we think it should be. Instead of being one with the grand unfolding we say “No, I think it should be going this way!” Nine of Swords asks us should it really be going the way you think it should go? or, is life happening exactly as it should be? There is a difference between going with the flow as a dead fish and accepting anything that comes and going with the flow of lifes vibrancy, very different. Nine of Swords asks to discern in a way that is more objective or all encompassing. Take a step back to see a broader perspective of the present situation. Spend some time alone and inquire if you going with a healthy flow or one that is unhealthy for you? Is life revealing or presenting something new and exciting that may be covered by a fear of swimming into the unknown? Swimming in uncharted waters can always be a bit scary, but believing in the fear will guide us away from the magic that is constantly revealing itself to us.

This card can arise when negative self talk is perpetual, muddying up the entire experience and causing great confusion within. We cannot and will not always know what is the next best step to make or direction to move in. As we take the time to relax a bit and breath we can discover space within our being to see clearly instead of believing immediately the negative, internal monologue playing out. If you have made it to this moment and you are reading this, things can’t be that bad. You have your vision to see, your mind to think, your heart to feel. Up until now, hopefully, you have become more wise through experience. You have made mistakes and hopefully learned what you would not like to do again. You have learned to be more in tune with the entirety of your being which allows you to be connected with your inner intuitive guide as well as your logical mind. You have all the tools you need to get through any conflict that arises.

The invitation with such a gnarly card is to take time to meditate or take a walk in the park. To do whatever it is that puts you in a deep connection with yourself and all of life. Allowing the discontent , confusion, anger, or whatever negative self talk is present to leave your body. From this space ask “How have I engaged with life up until now? What ways do I wish to live, and what ways do I wish to never to tread again?” This is a good time to contemplate and reflect. First allowing yourself to truly come to the space of internal rest before even getting into these questions. We all have the capacity to ask ourselves these questions from an undivided mind/heart space, but we also must give ourselves the permission to take our time and calm down. One may not be able to do this at the drop of a hat. Maybe it will take one hour, 2 days, a few weeks, or a month to simply relax. It really depends on how entrenched one has been in the state they are in. However long it takes, self judgement in a self destructive way will not work here. Gentleness, Compassion, and Love will be most powerful in shifting gears. Turning to rest in your being allows the harshness to fall away. As this occurs the space opens for one to question themselves, their experience, what is true within the experience and what has been imagined to be true. It is much easier to do this when we aren’t asking these things from an already confused, angry, or fearful state. This can cause even more confusion on top of confusion. It is more than okay to take all the time one needs to nurture, love, and relax into the being before starting to ask questions. It is very different for each human being how to navigate the waters of life. Trust your own path and what you have experienced up until now. This will always be your greatest teacher. The more faith and trust one has within oneself the stronger one will be inside to move with great ease.

Two of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot The Two of Swords meaning and interpretation

Two crossed swords below the moon eclipsing the sun. The light is still showing around the ring of the moon, but it is quite a small expansion of light. There is a decision to be made and there has been a long delay in the decision making. Two of Swords indicates you may not have all the information you need to make the right decision. Instead of avoiding, this is a time to make a decision with careful thought and honest intention. Pay attention to what is really in front of you. This approach at this time must be seeing the situation as it is rather than seeing what you would like to see. One must lay all the cards out on the table in order to make the best decision. Any avoidance of the decision to be made will only make it more difficult to choose as deeper confusion will make its way inside.

If one can take an objective standpoint from the situation and address a broad view of the current experience there may appear a better choice for what the next best way to navigate is. However, there may be pieces of information that the card holder is entirely unaware of. This means there is more of the story to unfold before the right decision can even be clear. Whether one has all the pieces of information they need or not, it is important to pay attention to the current experience and to make a decision the best way possible. Although the moon is eclipsing the suns light, there is still light shining through which is indicating one can still make a decision to their capacity of understanding with the information present. With an open heart and pure intentions and motives there will not be a wrong step. If there are more pieces to the puzzle to be revealed, in time they will be and again you have the option to choose and navigate according to the new insight revealed. We are always learning and growing, being hard on oneself will only bring doubt into the being which delays the process of choice.

Sometimes there are times when we have come to a standstill in what to do and simply are not sure how to move. Instead of delaying and avoiding the next step, reach out to someone who can be trusted and objectively point out that which may not be obvious to you. Sometimes where there can be a stagnancy present, it is wise to seek counsel. As we are directly in the experience it can be very difficult to see an element that another can see clear as day. Family members are not the best at this time to ask for guidance unless they can truly be objective. Perhaps a loyal and trustworthy friend, a counselor, or a wise person that can look at the whole picture and tell you what they see. Maybe you don’t take what they say and run with it, but perhaps it can open a whole new world you haven’t seen. Within a very short time complete clarity can be recognized after a quick conversation with another. They see something clearly because they are not personally in the situation. Whether inspired by someone else or not, ultimately the decision must come from your heart.

Two of Swords invites us to not put any decisions off and not to avoid what must be looked at. Whatever aspect of ones life this may be, it needs your present moment attention. There will be a great burden released when we address what must be looked at more deeply.

Ace of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot The Magician meaning and interpretation

Nothing can stand in the way of the Ace of SwordsThe one who chooses this card is at full power and energy right now. The question is will the energy be used to benefit the greater good? It is up to the one who holds the sword to use it in the highest way. The work that must be done is beyond the individuals life and calls upon this being to step up for the whole of humanity. The white sword depicted is pure and true, reflecting a higher choice of how to use ones energy. There is a rainbow infinity sign wrapped around the sword symbolizing what must come through this being ripples out infinitely to all of existence. This is stepping into our roles that not only satisfies our personal life, but the divine work we came here to do. Our true work that we must wake up to within this lifetime. The lightning bolt that strikes on either side of the sword signifies a clarity that comes quickly and powerfully. One is seeing what their work is with a deeper understanding than before. But just as quick as lightning and clarity come they can also disappear. Whatever insight comes at this time can be written down to help absorb its power. This is not a time to to forget what one has realized, but to allow what has been seen to be absorbed to its fullness before it is forgotten.

As clarity comes, action is birthed. When one sees the direction that is right and true the limbo stages are over. There is no more waiting, there is no more uncertainty within the being. There is recognition that Yes, moving forward with this clarity is absolutely in alignment. This new understanding is so clear that the one who bears the sword is willing to overcome the double edge that is present. There are people who will be against and for the journey this one is living.  There is an undeniable new understanding which has been brought forth about the next step one must take and it is crystal clear. The strength is also there to bear disagreement and opinions from others and to stand firm in the way you tread fully. When deeper understanding comes for a new direction, a goal, project, or vision, there is an energy that supports it fully because one is inline with all of existence. This will be undeniably obvious as one continues on the path, as this path will be fully supported. The movements one makes will not be because of material gains or status. The movements made will be pure spirit moving through the being to express the work of the divine. This support is much more powerful than those who put you down. Those who put you down will only strengthen what you know to be true in your heart and you will continue with Grace as there are a deeper depths to your movements besides what others may think or not think.

Ace of Swords asks to step fully into gifts, talents, abilities, and gather all tools and resources to continue on the journey the heart is uniquely designed to experience. There is no one foot in water and one on land. Full merging into the divine waters. This is a direct and immediate power that has no time to wait. Life is happening now and there is no more time to delay what must be birthed from ones being. We are asked to embrace our divinity and humanness to the fullest. To see fully what has wished to move through us is now either happening or going into hiding. It is up to the one who bears the sword with all or nothing energy. To run with the wolves or fall back into hiding. We have the free will to go either way. But what stops us from rising above the mundane? We are given our gifts for a reason. We must not let them die within us.

Four of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

four of swords the wild unknown tarot

Four of Swords follows the Three of Swords, which were three bound swords depicting a time of extreme pain and hardship. Four of Swords is the current time of more spaciousness that comes after a time of darkness experienced. This time is for contemplating what has been experienced and looking with compassion towards oneself for the next phase of the journey. One grows tremendously through darkness experienced. Wisdom and strength are discovered when we learn from our path and integrate what we have learned from our individual journey.  When directly experiencing hardship clarity isn’t always prominent when in the center of turmoil. Four of Swords is the aftermath of a hard emotional experience. One becomes more gentle and compassionate towards them self and others after moving through difficult chapters. There is a new learning how to navigate in a way that is in a greater harmony with ourselves in the world. We do not only learn by everything going well constantly. The depth of our character is refined by how we overcome and persevere the lowest of times. The Four of Swords depicts a lamb with a shining sun in the center of her forehead symbolizing a newfound strength through experiences of this human journey. There is a steady focus coming forth at this time, seeing what is no longer in alignment and the way one chooses to move forward.

At this time there is an opportunity to reflect on past experiences and clearly see what no longer works for us and what does. There is an evaluation of the direction of ones path and a clear vision that is aligned with ones heart to move in the direction that is true and not tainted by what friends, family, or society might otherwise say. We can see this as an exciting time that we have learned about ourselves in a way that opens our creative channels for forward movement in an honest direction of ones heart. This understanding blooms flowers in ones life that have not been tainted by what is expected from outside forces.  These answers have come from inside oneself. After each major experience or big change in ones life, we pause and reflect to integrate all we have learned up until now to make the next move as best we can. When we trust our own self to navigate in the most natural way, life is unfolding before us with great ease. When one does not take time to reflect or learn from the past we can continue cycles that are not helpful for our growth and expansion. Hasty decisions can be made that are premature when we do not take time to pause and reflect.

The lamb is aligned and strong in a silent way. She has contemplated her past movements and sees where she has erred and see where she has prospered. She is now ready for the next phase of her journey and is grounded in her movements. There is a maturing happening that wasn’t necessarily present before. At this time any plans that are made will be easily committed to as the weeds have been acknowledged and pulled out from the roots. Any aspects of life that were once unclear will now be seen in a spacious way that allows problems to be dissolved and new possibilities to fully expand.

Mother of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot mother of swords meaning and interpretation

Mother of Swords depicts a wise owl perched atop a sword, peering directly at the cardholder. Horizontal lines in the background symbolize a vast perception through which she is looking from. The Mother of Swords is not swayed by emotional drama. She feels deeply, but is not swayed by the winds of emotions. She has gained maturity through life experience and sees through temporary fleeting feelings. Although she has a stern look on her face that may seem devoid of feeling, she is deeply compassionate. Her compassion remain with what is true and not to baby temporary emotions that arise from herself and others. She knows we are the one who is beyond the transient nature of all things arising and passing. If one comes to her with a problem she will guide this being back to who they are, she will shatter everything that they are not. In this way, she attracts great beings into her life that are willing to look beyond their petty problems to return to their power.

This is a time to take a step back and observe how life is flowing. Is it flowing? Or, are you feeling stuck within your experience? The Mother of Swords is a reminder that you are never stuck, you simply aren’t seeing clearly for the moment. You have infinite tools you need in every moment to realign with what is true. When you see this, you can navigate naturally and effortlessly in life finding solutions instead of problems. Life can only be “working against you” if you think it is. Only one thought separates you from the divine flow of life. Mother of Swords reminds you with the sword of truth to stay in your power and not let the mind full of transient images and words to take you over.

The Mother of Swords encourages one to be direct and honest with themselves and others. She is straight and tells it like it is, no sugar coating. She has grown out of pleasing others in order to be nice. She honors truth completely. Are you being honest with yourself and others? This card is about direct honesty. Are you allowing yourself to be as you are without hindrance? Mother of swords says, drop all the bullshit. This includes feelings, thoughts, and actions that no longer serve you or others. Allow yourself to be in your power without feeling sorry for how you show up. Each one of us has a unique flavor designed to be expressed fully. As each one matures within we leave aside fear that binds us and stand firmly in the truth of pure awareness. Here, all is flowing. This is where the Mother of Swords encourages us to be vigilant.
