Five of Cups, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Five of Cups The Wild Unknown Tarot

Five of Cups is striking. Immediately gives a feeling of sadness and despair. The color of the horse is white, which symbolizes a purity and innocence energy present. The head hangs low in the darkness, absorbed in energy that is pained, doubtful, and grim. Above the horses head is light space with five cups hovering above the creatures head. The cups are on a higher plane than the horse, above him, and he pays no attention to their presence. Instead the energy of the card is paying most of the attention with the darker aspects of his experience while completely missing there are always both energies of shadow and light present. If we are alive, we are never fully engrossed in only darkness, but with energy focusing solely in that direction it can seem that is…all encompassing. When looked at more closely, a tiny detail on the horse is seen is a slight smile, barely noticeable. An energy is felt that perhaps on some level, in a subtle way, this dark energy is enjoyed in some way and is what is adding fuel to this low vibration. While there are five cups floating above, perhaps the energy here is suggesting there is a choice of not wanting to see.

***

To see a free spirited and strong creature slumped over in darkness can suggest that something in the querents life is not aligning with their soul purpose, that which makes them feel alive. vibrant and in harmony with life. It is possible the querent will intuitively know what the card is pointing to as it is drawn. The initial feeling of what is seen is worth the investigation as it can be a trigger that is connected to something deeper and ignites a initial spark inside. If there is a time where perhaps we are not expressing the passions that are intertwined deeply with our heart we can begin to lose vibrancy. Our unique soul expressions are a necessary part of our health and happiness and many times are linked with the main source of our life force/prana.  If one is prioritizing only practical matters before that which makes their soul move, this sadness or despair can creep in and replace creative vision and expression. Five of Cups invites balance to what is practical in nature, but to never forget what excites and nourishes oneself deeply. Although this present time can have a shade of powerlessness on various levels, we always have the power of attention.  Where is one focusing attention? What is the quality of life that this attention focused is highlighting?

Five of Cups represents a loss or pain and on top of that shame and guilt that is felt. This is what keeps the energy in the darkness. The pain felt is not coming from the experience itself, but from the mental and emotional activity added on top of the turmoil already being experience. This stretches out the healing process for weeks, months, even years. Some beings may go through life with this extra layer of shame or guilt added on top of an experience that is long gone. Because this mental activity is held on to it makes the healing much more painful and drawn out. There is a victimization going on in this card.  Clinging to the past when there is so much to be immensely grateful for now. There are times when we have to shake these ghosts that seem to be sucking our sweet nectar. There is a time to feel it all, but there is also a time to check in and make sure one is not dwelling in the darkness for too long. It arises for us to learn and grow, but it isn’t meant for us to set up camp and remain in the shadows. Energy is always flowing, the waters always moving, and there is always the opportunity to navigate in a new way. Five of Cups can represent something like an investment in unhealthy emotions or ways of thinking, a death in the family, something that is weighing on you in the slightest or heaviest way that is draining your energy. Ask yourself, maybe through journaling or whenever you feel, has there been to deep of an investment to that which is no longer serving you? Have you been grieving, sitting in sadness, or wallowing for too long? It is time to get fresh energy flowing. Whatever has happened or whatever state you find yourself in, it can be learned from and used wisely as another tool through your travels.

All that pains us and pushes us is also a catalyst for creation. Some of the most beautiful artists in the world experienced tremendous pain in life and transmuted this energy to beauty for themselves and others. We are not only one label or shape that we can package nicely and say “This is me” Jesus….that would be fucking boring. If one can package themselves in any shade of the broad spectrum, this will be a sad day. We are ALL vast and uniquely orchestrated beings. When we identify heavy with one aspect of self we can tend to ignore or even have a distaste for the other. Sometimes this can block or cut off valuable aspects of or being. Five of Cups is an opportunity to embrace what may feel harsh in the beginning, but a reminder to not dwell there and know that all can be transmuted into creative energy. Many times when we feel we are in a slump or even stuck in any state of despair we think well shit…..THIS IS IT!!!! At that specific moment is when the most brilliant creation is waiting be birthed forth. As death comes of an aspect of being we are ready for the creative force to move us. This is part of the invitation here. Look at what is being tuned into and do not wallow. Feel, but do not stay in any lowly state too long. Allow your being to mature, learn and move on.

We are vast, creative forces with many options to explore. Allow the natural movement flow.

Nine of Cups, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Nine of Cups The Wild Unknown Tarot

Nine cups are drawn in the shape of a lucky horse shoe with a crescent moon at the top of the card. The moon is depicts the listening to subtle guidance within that has moved one in a way that feels gratitude and contentment for what is. The hues of blue and purple in the background are soothing colors that reflects a being of equanimity and deep rest within. This is a time where one is enjoying the pleasures of life, but not taking life for granted and appreciating deeply what is present. Nine of Cups can feel a bit day dreamy as the cups float against the smooth horizon. The invitation is to allow the daydreaming to be, as this is your inspiration and creativity. However, allow daydreaming and action to merge towards those visions. This will allow dreams to fully take form. There is deep joy in all areas of ones experience now and whatever way you move will be from a place of love, not fear or doubt. This will create tremendous beauty in your wake.

Cups represent the emotional state of being, relationships, self expression, creativity, and moving from the heart. At this time one is overflowing in all areas of life and love is pouring through to all relationships and creations. As you feel the abundance in all aspects of life, worry and fear has left your experience. It simply isn’t there, life is moving you in a way that is most natural to your being. The power of presence is felt instead of the mind ruling your action. Nine of Cups is a natural balance with all of nature where one is not feeling as an outsider in life, but connected to the whole of creation. The magic of what is felt has already flooded through the bloodstream and there is no going back to old ways of being. Like a snake, many skins have been shed and the way in which you feel life is without tension. This moves you to create, play, work, and communicate in ways that are open and fresh. Manipulation, grasping, and wanting life to be different is gone and one is seeing the immensity of beauty that is always here.

Nine of Cups is a card of gratitude. The more gratitude that is felt the less we feel we need to have more. We really begin to experience the fullness of our life emanating from the inside instead of trying to collect things, people, or experience to fulfill inner discontent. Nine of Cups is full of overflowing abundance, this does not necessarily mean one is wealthy in terms of monetary gains. One is fulfilled of the riches of simply being alive. This vibration alone turns everything in gold. All that you place your energy towards come from this clear channel. You are creating beauty, experiencing love, joy, relationships are flourishing, and others you come into contact with are inspired and fulfilling meetings. Any goal you have now will do well if you remain investing your energy in the direction you wish. The Nine of Cups is a time of enjoying beauty in mother earth and your self, delighting in your senses, art, love making, and all that connects you to life. This automatically inspires every movement, all creation, work, and all things birthed from you now.

Something to think about in relishing in life is that the ebb and flow is always changing. Now may be all about the pleasures of life and enjoying, but the invitation here is to keep one foot on the ground as you enjoy and to not over indulge in what may “feel good.” The invitation is to be in deep gratitude for what is. When this vibration is present overindulgence will not be an issue and one can fully enjoy the present. Nine of Cups is the wish card of the deck. Not that something will fall out of thin air into your lap, but where your energy is invested will come into full physical being at this time.

Ten of Wands, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Ten of Wands The Wild Unknown Tarot

Ten of Wands is almost completely dark with hardly any light shining through. Where once there was momentum moving forward with a goal, this is a time where one has really slowed down and starting to feel the burden of their own creation. This is right about the time where pushing through is most necessary. At one time of immaturity it would have been easy to give up at this point. One is now feeling the slowing down in movement and feeling the burden, but not convinced enough to stop the process of creation. There has been a lot of high energy, enthusiasm, and vibrant activity that has is now burning out and losing zest. This can be looked at as a death of the original idea or plan, or it can be seen as a positive relief. When one begins to work from a neutral space rather than one of high energy that easily dissipates, there is more room created for a long term vision to come into being. Rather than worried about lack of enthusiasm that was once present, one can be more excited that this initial phase of short winded enthusiasm has fizzled out so one can work and move on their dream from a sustainable space within instead of a space that is high energy one moment and low the other. The invitation from the Ten of Wands is to not give in to weariness now. Know that you can continue toward your vision from an equanimous space that is connected to your source energy rather than fleeting feelings. Although the high vibe excited energy can feel as though it can take on anything, it is not the short bursts of energy that sustain a vision or goal over an extended period of time. It is the initial spark of an idea that contains this excitement, but what will actually sustain this over a long period of time while one is working each day toward the vision?

Whether one realizes it or not you are actually in the completion stages of your goal. There has been a lot of preparing, building, energy, which has already been invested into the direction you are moving. Now is not the time to say Fuck It and throw everything away. Know that you are well underway to completing what you have started, but one must take a rest and continue one step at a time. Whatever is the most important aspect of your vision, put the sweet nectar of your energy there first. Everything else that you must do or think you must do is not as important as the main aspect of your vision you wish to see take form. If all the less potent areas of your goal are prioritized first, this will slow down your momentum and take up too much of your time. The invitation is to set some wands down and focus on one or two that you will put your attention to each day. What is of lesser importance can be completed in their own natural time. It is easy to burn out when we try to do it all in one day. The invitation is to move at your own pace, but put your sweet attention on what is of highest importance first. As you reclaim your energy out of all the little tasks that are not of high importance, you will bring to life your original energy of the brilliant vision to begin with.

Ten of Wands is a time where the feeling of quitting may be present, but a lot of this energy is due to putting small tasks ahead of the main goal and also, not playing enough. When we allow spontaneity to move us and we relax instead of putting so much pressure on ourselves we find a flow that is easy to live everyday instead of anything close to mundane and heavy. Although you have so much you want to accomplish, it is as equally important to live while working on visions and goals and not get pulled into tunnel vision. Unless of course the tunnel vision feels in the flow and is not draining on the spirit:) The more we are truly living from a space of love and spontaneity we move in a way that is light and free instead of tight and rigid. When one is tight and rigid, how will the vision or goal turn out with that energy? What energy is being invested into this space of creation? Life and play don’t have to be separate from visions and goals. There is infinite inspiration all around when we are open to life and this can be equally as valuable to a project as working on the project itself. Inspiration comes from spaces that are unexpected and we may find that as we allow ourselves to play and move we ignite a creative fire that adds more to our visions and dreams than we can possibly imagine. Living an inspired life and being inspired by anything and everything will add tremendous value to what wishes to manifest through your unique being. Do not be so quick to undervalue the power of play.

The Star, The Wild Unknown Tarot

The Star The Wild Unknown Tarot

As we look at the night sky we are filled with wonder and the mysteries of life. This feeling naturally awakens our cells to the infinite possibilities of what we can discover and create in this life. If life birthed us and the stars into being, what beauty can be created by our hands? The night sky inspires excitement about our unlimited potential of creation. That which inspires your being to move is the same spark that ignited all of life, the stars, and galaxies to be as they are. The Star is a card that one is connected to and honoring their true self and hearts path. This is the one that is moving in a natural way that is in accordance with the divine. What is mundane, what is the road most travelled, is not attractive to the one who pulls The Star. The wisdom of the stars and the galaxies are ancient. This is the same wisdom which is moving through all beings in this very moment. At this time you will find that those who oppose your way are much less impactful for you now. In fact any opposing forces remind you that you are living in honor with your souls path, the immensity of blessings are with you.

There have been many challenges before this card to be pulled in the present position. All of the challenges one has faced until now have created a strength that is unmatched by what one can learn in a book or through another beings story. Your experience is first hand lived by you and these lessons have made you strong. There is immense gratitude and understanding for all that has been experienced and not experienced on your journey. At this time all challenges, blessings, and every experience you have lived thus far will be moving through your spirit as work that will come into the world. Ideas, plans, projects, work, or whatever the focus is at this time will be powerful. You are open to share your essence with those that come into your field while you continue your creative journey. In the past as you were going through challenges more doubt were present about which way to go, what to do, how to be. Now things are flowing in an easy way and there is a natural progression unfolding. The movement of your life is beyond trust, hope, and faith. The Star moves in complete alignment with all of life.

There are significant changes happening which are opening you in a way that seemed possible before, but out of reach. Now these changes within your mind, body, spirit, inner/outer experience are fully embodying what you have always intuitively deeply known, but still felt separate from. This is why all can flow with great ease at this time. All doors are wide open now and your intuition can feel where to go and not to go much more swiftly and with less discord than before. The Star comes after stages of limbo, uncertainty, and challenges with a light that breaks through all ancient heaviness that was once held onto.

You are dancing in your brilliance.

Five of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

Five of Swords The Wild Unknown Tarot

Five of Swords represents self destruction. A worm or parasite has been cut in half. The “ugly” has come to the surface and self-destructive patterns are coming out of hiding. Patterns are being noticed and looked at more closely than ever before. Where once things could have been set aside or taken lightly, one is now feeling the heaviness of their own self imposed limitations. Although this seems to be a card one wishes to flip over and redraw…it is the perfect opportunity to look at any patterns that are arising and break the ongoing cycle. Reoccurring events that happen in ones life which drain power are dropping hints to navigate in a different way. This could be honest communication with self/others, a carelessness that is effecting you and “other” beings in your life. This can be a number of things which one is acting upon that is not alignment with your integrity. This can arise as something small that grows into a mighty parasite that feeds off you. Five of Swords has been cut, which means whatever this is which is draining energy, it has been exposed. This dark aspect is now out in the open and you are witnessing and acknowledging it instead of ignoring. So although a morbid card the upside is one is actually seeing what has been leaking out energy.

Five of Swords invitation is to identify where this energetic leak seems to be happening and to address it. There are some things by themselves that seem to drop away effortlessly. However, whatever is present now is asking for acknowledgement. This gentle way of seeing and holding space for this to arise will allow it to be released. Some patterns are deeply rooted within us, but we can choose to stop identifying with them and release our grip of  identity. You are vast and limitless being, never bound by anything in particular. We alone hold ourself hostage by repeating patterns that no longer serve us. As we inquire into our patterns we can see easily how they are fueling our identification to a certain state of being. We are allowed to give up old stories to allow what is true in the present moment to shine through. We weaken and age ourself on many levels by hanging on to old broken stories about our idea of who we are. Sometimes we do this because we are afraid of the immensity our own freedom. It can be scary at first to feel so open, without identifications to people, stories, wounds, events, etc. On the other side of our self destructive tendencies there is infinite space and possibility, all the magic is present. So whatever pattern is being witnessed now is being seen as it is being kicked out the door. Grace is moving all.

Five of Swords represents defeat. The kind of defeat that must be acknowledged and through this defeat one will rise again stronger than ever. Defeat sounds depressing, but in fact this is exactly what is needed to happen for you to realign with natures harmonic rhythm. There is nothing lost here, only lessons that have been learned. Through ones own experiences and defeats we listen more intuitively in ways we wish to move. We start developing a deeper trust with ourself and our voice. We see we cannot ignore what is felt inside and we align again with our natural movement.
