Four of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

four of swords the wild unknown tarot

Four of Swords follows the Three of Swords, which were three bound swords depicting a time of extreme pain and hardship. Four of Swords is the current time of more spaciousness that comes after a time of darkness experienced. This time is for contemplating what has been experienced and looking with compassion towards oneself for the next phase of the journey. One grows tremendously through darkness experienced. Wisdom and strength are discovered when we learn from our path and integrate what we have learned from our individual journey.  When directly experiencing hardship clarity isn’t always prominent when in the center of turmoil. Four of Swords is the aftermath of a hard emotional experience. One becomes more gentle and compassionate towards them self and others after moving through difficult chapters. There is a new learning how to navigate in a way that is in a greater harmony with ourselves in the world. We do not only learn by everything going well constantly. The depth of our character is refined by how we overcome and persevere the lowest of times. The Four of Swords depicts a lamb with a shining sun in the center of her forehead symbolizing a newfound strength through experiences of this human journey. There is a steady focus coming forth at this time, seeing what is no longer in alignment and the way one chooses to move forward.

At this time there is an opportunity to reflect on past experiences and clearly see what no longer works for us and what does. There is an evaluation of the direction of ones path and a clear vision that is aligned with ones heart to move in the direction that is true and not tainted by what friends, family, or society might otherwise say. We can see this as an exciting time that we have learned about ourselves in a way that opens our creative channels for forward movement in an honest direction of ones heart. This understanding blooms flowers in ones life that have not been tainted by what is expected from outside forces.  These answers have come from inside oneself. After each major experience or big change in ones life, we pause and reflect to integrate all we have learned up until now to make the next move as best we can. When we trust our own self to navigate in the most natural way, life is unfolding before us with great ease. When one does not take time to reflect or learn from the past we can continue cycles that are not helpful for our growth and expansion. Hasty decisions can be made that are premature when we do not take time to pause and reflect.

The lamb is aligned and strong in a silent way. She has contemplated her past movements and sees where she has erred and see where she has prospered. She is now ready for the next phase of her journey and is grounded in her movements. There is a maturing happening that wasn’t necessarily present before. At this time any plans that are made will be easily committed to as the weeds have been acknowledged and pulled out from the roots. Any aspects of life that were once unclear will now be seen in a spacious way that allows problems to be dissolved and new possibilities to fully expand.

The Hanged Man, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot the hanged man meaning and interpretation

The Hanged Man depicts a bat hanging from a branch. He wrapped himself within his wings and peers directly at the card reader with red, gleaming eyes….uhhh kinda creepy right? Something mysterious…a secret perhaps? Something is being held within, being protected instead of let go. Bats swooping into our lives indicate death of egocentric aspects of self, major transitions, sensitivity to seeing the unseen, and releasing major burdens that have been carried for ages. The bat hangs in the dark, however, this darkness fades into the light. As we move beyond limitation and darkness we expand into the greatness we already are. Our light was simply covered up by imagined illusion.

The Hanged Man can represent your own suspension in life. What are you “hanging” onto that is in the dark? What aspects of you are being perceived now that are ready to be let go of and take flight? This is how the bat flies, he must let go of the branch in order to gain momentum and fly. He cannot fly from pushing off the ground. This card might be about your darkness or perhaps someone close to you carrying a burden. The extremely heightened sensitivity a bat carries is the same as your own highly sensitive nature. You are sensitive within yourself and all of life because of your natural introspective nature. You feel life with invisible feelers, so a little whacky to some, but very normal for you. Whether or not this darkness is yours or someone close to you it is something that needs to be brought to the surface. This is an ancient wound that is present and this is a pivitol moment for change. You may either ignore and let it fester, providing a swamp-like and unenergized environment….or this old burden can be faced. Because of your sensitivity, if this imbalance is in you it will be released during this period. You can smell the putrid air of this and it must go. If this is regarding another being in your life, your sensitivity will be a catalyst assisting this damaging force to exit the body. Sometimes it can be our extreme sensitivity and seeing the unseen which gives permission to others to face what has been put off. The more aspects of darkness we have faced in ourselves the greater space we become to hold space as others go through hardship. It is a fire within that burns all delusion because it is seen as illusory. You see the most subtle darkness or hesitations within yourself, which in turn helps you see this in others and gives space for life to reveal the light that is already present.

Do not protect your fears or those of anyone else. When we protect our fears we are giving them more fuel to survive.  This is a dishonest way to live with oneself and highly self destructive. However, there will always be times when we don’t realize we are protecting something that is harming us. Thankfully, the bat is the symbol of a highly intuitive and wise one. So at this time you do have the full capacity to see all you need in order to shed some old skin. All is happening organically and in the natural unfolding of life. Life is always showing us what we need to see when we remain open to the mystery. We don’t know what will be, but when we remain open…the magic is swiftly and organically a guiding light. She shows us and we move in accordance with the natural flow.  The magic is hardwired in our system. In our blood, our tears, our joy….its in everything. The magic flows organically when we remain open to the unknown.

The hanged man tells us to go into the night. To feel the night air and the secrets that seem to be hidden in the quiet times of the night. Look at the moon, gaze at the stars. How do you feel when you do this? Does it change your perspective? Do you feel a Oneness with all that is? The Hanged man asks you to shift your perspective and ask where are you putting your energy? Ask yourself this sincerely. In all aspects of your life, where are you planting seeds? Is it at a job you hate? Or is it on a creative endeavor you love? Are you spending time with friends that ignite your fire? Or are you spending time with those who doubt your every move? Do not be afraid to distance yourself from the doubters and the nay sayers. Our life shifts radically when we allow those who support and love us to be in our sphere and when we simply leave those who don’t.

May our perception be clear and bright. May all seeming difficulties turn into mighty opportunities of growth. May all beings express their creativity and light in this world.

Nine of Pentacles, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot nine 9 of pentacles meaning and interpretation

Four white feathers form a diamond shape with nine pentacles inside. Pentacles represent the material aspects of life. Creativity, work, health, property, the “outer world” of ones inner life. The card depicts horizontal lines in the background, representing a grounded feeling within oneself and how one is moving as life. No separation is experienced now. There is a feeling of abundance and prosperity, not overly indulging, but a deep appreciation for what is. The profundity of the possibility that one is here makes all petty problems seen as dust in the wind. This gratitude overwhelms the being and allows for natural movement in one to flow in accordance with the divine.

The divine that is magnificently experienced as you.

There is a quiet knowing within you that feels the way in which you are moving is the same movement as God moving inside you. This card represents the merging of life as one where all is connecting. You are not living a double life, or if you are, this is coming to an end. Many aspects of you have fallen away, work that could no longer serve your heart. You are aligning more deeply with what feels natural for you. Nine of Pentacles indicates that you have come to a completion of a project and are enjoying the fruits of this labor.  You have enough momentum underway that now you have a unique balance of work and play. There is a confidence here that is unwavering, you know what wishes to move through you in your work and you will continue this way. Although this is an abundant period, you also know there will be low seasons. You are deeply committed to your work and will endure the ebbs and flows. Your reliance is from God/Source and nothing else from this world which can be attained or lost.

This card can also depict that you are working consistently and diligently on a project that will come into full physical form. However, there is still a long stretch to go. You are working with love and discipline, you will surely be fulfilled with this project. There is no way it will fail, this vision that comes from within is the vision God/Spirit has planted inside. You have released all other visions and plans that did not feel one with spirit. There is a deep felt movement of grace at this time. As if the wind is moving you and all of life with more ease than you have ever felt. This is because of your trust in all that is. Perception is everything. As you feel the immense beauty of life, you are always met with this beauty in return.

Nine of Pentacles regards health. Perhaps your overall wellbeing and health are overflowing with radiant and abundant energy right now. If that is the case….obviously that is fantastic. Your physical body is vibrant and you feel solid with how you have been treating yourself. The exercise, and food you allow in your body are in agreement with what you need. Nine of Pentacles can also be asking, is there something you would like to stay away from? Is there a habit like smoking or drinking that you have allowed to creep into your life and expand over time? Are you eating foods that deplete your energy? Now you have all the power with you to change things that no longer serve you in this realm. When your body is being taken care of everyday you are naturally moving much lighter and with ease. This time will be of major transformation in the body and also your work environment. Grace is sweeping through your house and bringing a beautiful balance within many layers of your life. Abundance and magic of life is deeply recognized and felt. There is an unending well of a power within that is naturally wiping away all that isn’t working anymore. What was once a struggle for you to change is now seen with clarity and swift changes are being made without much effort.

Ten of Swords, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot ten 10 of swords meaning and interpretation

Ten of Swords is about the embodiment of victimhood and the great release of it. Victimhood is a trap of the mind, which keeps us small in a very weak state of being. We do it to ourselves, nothing in this life can make us become a victim in our own life. There are subtle victimhood stages and ones that can seemingly overtake ones life. The bull depicted has hollow eyes with a sword piercing through both. Nine more swords pierce his body and he is falling into darkness. Just above him there is light emerging, which hints that just as victimhood is seen through the light breaks in revealing the game that was being played. However dark this card may appear we must go through various stages of darkness to see we must not be afraid to inquire into them. Being able to hold darkness within ones hand is far greater than avoiding it. If we fall into victimization and begin contemplating the state we are in, one can see how this pain has been an energetic self stabbing. No one else has created this but oneself. The good news with this is we can remove the swords of pain created and completely heal. Not only we come out of victimization, but we will gain immense wisdom for ourself and others at this time. This victimhood is also a blessing that is so painful we see we have no where to go and no where to escape to. It is a hard reminder, but one that can truly wake us up. Victimhood is not a path that can be recreated when we see the damage it truly causes, but we must walk through it to gain the knowledge we need on our journey. When something is actually understood on a deep level then one will not recreate the same trouble again. It is only when we do not truly understand the self created pain and believe it is coming from outside ourselves that we do not truly learn. When we see that nothing comes from outside in the way one has imagined then there is no one to blame, only to see the creation of illusion was ours. There is great freedom in this.

This card is disturbing to look at. It brings to mind the utter havoc we can wreak in our own life. The “poor me” victimhood that can be embraced when it is only the illusions of the mind believed in. Life itself is beautiful and miraculous even in its ugly and dark states. This is part of the great balance and miracle we find ourselves in. It is only our poor interpretation that causes so much trouble. Ten of Swords asks us to sincerely look at our state of being and feel if we are in our power or are we feeling self defeated. These thoughts of self defeat and victimhood are the snakes of the mind that we feed and keep us in the field of separation instead of our original state of oneness. All which we see “out there” will always be what is seen “in here.” When we truly see there is no separation of outside and inside we begin to move in our original power of wholeness. This card looks like rock bottom, but it is the beginning of no more victimization and blame on others. We see that all is arising as the Self and stop giving power to the beast of fleeting thoughts or emotions. We see through the madness and stay as we are. The wild circus becomes easier to spot and not identify with.

The death of victimhood brings about immense space in you. The allowing of spontaneous and joyous expression of you to play as a child and do what sets your heart ablaze. Victimization period is finished and it is seen as one of the most damaging plays one can create. In the divine perfection it is the perfect play for one to rise again and feel unbound and free in ones own kingdom. When the release of this painful victimhood releases and one sees through this self created hell, a freedom arises that can only laugh at its own silly game.

Seven of Wands, The Wild Unknown Tarot

the wild unknown tarot seven 7 of wands meaning and interpretation

One black wand burning a bright light within the darkness. Six wands part ways for one flame to burn through all adversity. Seven of Wands reminds us who we are and to allow ourselves fully to express naturally what we love to do. Pure self expression, without shying away. Are we backing down from our power, or are we fueling the fire that keeps us vibrant and alive?

Seven of Wands is showing us when everyone is saying no to our dreams and visions that we must stand firm in truth. The inspiration that comes from our heart is a pure expression of the divine. This creativity shows up in infinite forms. Many times when we are honoring our path there will be many who try to discourage and condemn the process. The Seven of Wands is a reminder to stay with the truth of our heart against all odds and to not waver because of silly opinions. No one has lived as you. You are the only one who can feel deeply the ways in which you wish to move and navigate freely as life. There are times for earth shattering convictions to stand for our naturalness and will not waver for anyone who tries to convince us otherwise. We must remember the ones who judge our path are the ones who maybe aren’t happy with their own. Freedom to be completely natural and do what one loves fully scares many. The freedom to carve a different path is ours to discover and explore. If one judgement or criticism scares us, what does that say about our true inner strength? The Seven of Wands says to deny those who oppose how your heart wishes to move.

How we feel in this very moment is everything. If we are pining for a better tomorrow or better future we will always be putting our life in the hands of an imagined state of joy. When we relax into the moment, not wait for another moment to relax into….we see there is an immediate content and joy here. When this relaxation in now is felt, we start living a miraculous life. What happens here is there is a naturalness in all movement. We stop thinking so hard about what we should do with our life and relax into present moment creativity. This springs forth the most raw and authentic unfolding which doesn’t need to be planned or strategically executed. The stream of life is already flowing. All we have to do is drop in and start swimming. When we are out of this stream of life we are heavy and constricted where no inspiration can flow. The Seven of Wands says burn bright and stay with this power that is felt inside. This light which burns will always guide us. This light is Grace. Grace moves all that is here. This is why we don’t have to worry or be frightened. We can be as we are.

Sometimes we need courage to swim in the stream of our own heart. This stream of our heart is the same as the life that we think is happening around us. It is simply reflecting our heart. We can be discouraged by others words and opinions. But we must remember no one absolutely no one is discouraging us. When we accept what others say about our life it is only our own thoughts, fears, and doubts about ourself that are coming into physical form. Life is showing us what we see and feel within. So if someone is against how we are living and this has a strong impact, it is because we are still holding judgement towards ourself. Other times our freedom threatens the box another judging us has been living in. They try to control us because they themselves feel conflicted. Courage is needed for the beginning leap of faith to do what feels intuitive and natural for us. However, once we see that the struggle, pain, and conflict is only a ghost we see how swimming in this stream becomes fun. As we expand into this trust resistance falls away as we swim.
